Exodus | 12x12 Acrylic

This image was burned in my memory, watching people struggling down an embankment and up the other side to get out of wartorn Ukraine with nothing but the things they could carry. In particular, there was an elderly couple at the bottom just starting the long climb up the other side. He was protectively helping his wife who was having great difficulty just walking and probably wondering just how they would ever make it to the top. I wonder what has happened to all of them. We need not to forget.
