Resistance to Work

I was really resisting getting to work after nearly 3 months of not working on anything other than a few tiny landscapes in November.

My "go to" is to dig out some older canvases that just didn't work, to see if I can make a painting out of them. Nothing to fear as I didn't like them anyhow. It's a great way to explore ideas without having to start from scratch and it feels like play.

As I work, I write down the ideas about the things I want to accomplish or see in my paintings going forward. Now that I've had a week of "play" I'm excited to get going.
